WELCOME!
Thank you for visiting my website. It is designed to allow you to learn about the issues and concerns I am working on for the benefit of all Canadians.
It is my hope that you will find these pages both useful and interesting. I want to introduce you to both my public and private interests. As a Senator who is also an entrepreneur, author, community activist, designer, gardener, wife, mother and grandmother, I lead a busy life with many roles. I am sure I share much in common with many of you!
Since my appointment in 1998, I have brought communities together so as to build bridges of understanding among all Canadians of different backgrounds. As an individual with a passion for education, I have spoken to many young people hoping to inspire them to assume positions of leadership in the community. As a Senator, I have promoted human rights and social justice through my work on legislation, and on Senate Committees.
